TONIGHT'S CONSENT AGENDA CONSISTS OF MINUTES, A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING, REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING, JUNE 22ND, 2023 AT 7:00 PM DO I HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA? SO MOVED.
MOVED BY COUNCIL PERSON BOND, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN AGUILAR.
ANY ITEMS NEED TO BE REMOVED? ANY DISCUSSION? HEARING NONE, I'LL ENTERTAIN A VOTE.
[IV. BUSINESS ITEMS]
NEXT ITEM WOULD BE BUSINESS ITEMS AND ITEM, A PRESENTATION BY THE US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, GALVESTON DISTRICT PROVIDING AN UPDATE TO THE CITY LEADERSHIP ON THE FREEPORT PROJECT.I AM THE PROJECT MANAGER FOR THE SABINA GALVESTON, UH, FREEPORT AND VICINITY PROJECT.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ACKNOWLEDGE, UH, MR. JOE WILLIAMS. HE'S HERE REPRESENTING, UH, FROM OUR NON-FEDERAL SPONSOR, THE VELASCO DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
UM, SO WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU ALL FOR GIVING US THE OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE YOU AN UPDATE.
UM, I KNOW WE WERE HERE JANUARY OF THIS YEAR, SO I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE YOU AN UPDATE OF, OF WHERE WE'RE AT RIGHT NOW AND THE STATUS OF OUR PROJECT.
UM, SO FIRST, FIRST THING IS, UH, SHOWING OUR REGIONAL APPROACH.
SO OUR GOAL IS TO DEVELOP A REGIONWIDE COASTAL STORM REDUCTION SYSTEM ALONG THE COAST.
UM, THE FIRST PART OF THIS REGIONAL APPROACH IS IN DOING, IN IMPROVEMENT TO TWO EXISTING SYSTEMS FROM THE SAVINA GALVESTON PROJECT, WHICH ARE ONE OF THEM BEING FREEPORT.
WE'LL ALSO BE BUILDING A BRAND NEW SYSTEM, APPROXIMATELY 26 MILES SYSTEM AT ORANGE.
[00:05:01]
UM, THE OTHER PORTION OF OUR REGIONAL APPROACH ALSO INCLUDES THE COASTAL TEXAS STUDY.THIS IS THE PROJECT THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE KNOW AS THE, UH, IKE D**E OR COASTAL IKE, UM, PROJECT, WHICH IS A GATE BARRIER ALONG BOLIVAR, ALONG WITH DOING SEVERAL ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION PROJECTS ALONG THE COAST.
SO ESSENTIALLY WHAT WE'RE DOING, OUR GOAL HERE IS TO DO A, A SYSTEM OF SYSTEM OF PROJECTS TO GIVE US A STRONGER AND MORE RECEIVING, UH, COST FOR, FOR THE FUTURE.
UM, SOME OF THE PROJECT FEATURES THAT WE WOULD HAVE, UM, WE'RE IMPROVING OUR APPROXIMATELY TWO MILES OF FLOOD WALL EITHER BY, UM, REPLACING SOME OF THE IOWAS WITH TWAS OR IMPROVING SOME OF THE IOWAS THAT ARE ALREADY THERE.
WE'RE ALSO RAISING APPROXIMATELY 12 MILES OF LEVY RAYS ALONG THE SYSTEM.
UH, THAT RACE WILL VARY THROUGH THE SYSTEM APPROXIMATELY ONE TO FOUR FEET.
ANOTHER FEATURE THAT WE'LL BE DOING WILL BE DOING A NEW A HUNDRED FOOT, UH, VERTICAL LIFT GATE AT THE DOW BARGE CANAL.
OUR PROJECT SCHEDULE AND TIMELINES.
SO THE, THIS PROJECT AGAIN, THE, IS AS A RESULT OF THE FEASIBILITY STUDY FROM THE SABINA GALVESTON PROJECT THAT WAS COMPLETED IN 2017.
THE PROJECT GOT, UH, AUTHORIZED AND FUNDED THROUGH CONGRESS THROUGH THE BIPARTISAN BUDGET ACT IN 2018.
WE WERE ABLE TO AWARD A FIRST CONTRACT TO DESIGN IN 2019.
WE'RE LOOKING TO TO END DESIGN AND START CONSTRUCTION IN APPROXIMATELY 2025 WITH COMPLETING THE PROJECT IN APPROXIMATELY 2028.
OUR NEXT SLIDE IS OUR PROJECT FUNDING.
SO THIS PROJECT IS FULLY FUNDED, UH, AGAIN THROUGH THE BIPARTISAN BUDGET ACT FOR APPROXIMATELY FOUR 703 MILLION.
UM, IT WILL BE COST SHARE 65, 30 5%, 65 BEING THE FEDERAL PORTION, AND, UH, 35% BE THE NON-FEDERAL PORTION.
NOW, OUR NON-FEDERAL SPONSOR, UH, THE ALASKA DRAINAGE DISTRICT DOES HAVE THE OPTION OF NOT ONLY PROVIDING THE CASH OF THE 35% CASH, BUT THEY COULD ALSO DO WORK IN KIND, UM, FOR THE PROJECT TOWARDS THAT 35%.
AND, AND I HAVE A, UH, A SLIDE SHOWING SOME OF THAT WORK IN KIND THAT, THAT THEY PLAN TO WORK WITH US.
SO, UM, OUR PROJECT OVERVIEW, UM, NEXT WE'LL BE GOING OVER SOME OF THE CONTRACTS THAT WE HAVE PLANNED.
UM, SO AS YOU CAN SEE HERE, YOU'LL SEE THE, THE FREEPORT SYSTEM, WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 43 MILES LONG.
WE'RE GONNA IMPROVE ABOUT 13 MILES WITH EITHER THROUGH, UH, LEVY OR FLOOD WALL.
THAT'S ABOUT, IF MY MATH IS CORRECT, CARRY THE ONE.
IT'S ABOUT 30% THAT WILL BE IMPROVING THE SYSTEM.
UM, AND I'LL, I'LL BE GOING THROUGH THE SEVERAL CONTRACTS THAT WE'LL BE DOING.
UH, SO FIRST CONTRACT THAT WE HAVE IS OUR FREEPORT AND VICINITY O TWO CONTRACT THAT CONSISTS OF DOING, UH, THE VERTICAL LIFT GATE WITH THE PUMP STATION AND SOME FLOOD WALL.
AS YOU CAN SEE THE, THE CIRCLE DOWN AT THE BARGE CANAL.
SO, SO WE'LL BE, WE'LL BE BUILDING THAT.
THAT'LL BE THE ONE OF OUR CONTRACTS.
THE NEXT CONTRACT THAT WE HAVE IS THE FREEPORT AND VICINITY OH THREE CONTRACT, OH THREE.
UH, THIS WILL INCLUDE CONSISTS OF DOING FLOOD WATER REPLACEMENT AND DOING SOME LEVY RAYS ALONG THE DOTHAM.
NEXT CONTRACT IS OUR FREEPORT AND VICINITY OH FOUR.
THIS IS, THIS CONSISTS OF JUST LEVY RAYS ALONG OYSTER CREEK AND THEN SOME PART ALONG THE, UH, EAST BRASS RIVER AREA.
NEXT CONTRACT IS OUR FREEPORT AND VICINITY OH FOUR A.
THIS IS, UM, INCLUDING SOME FLOOD WALL REPLACEMENTS AND LEVY RAYS, VERY SIMILAR TO OUR FPV ZERO THREE CONTRACT WITH THE DOW THUMB.
THIS IS DOING THE OTHER SIDE OF THE INDUSTRY, WHICH INCLUDES, UH, THE PORT FREEPORT, B A S F, AND PHILLIPS 66.
AND THEN THIS NEXT AREA SHOWS THE CONTRACTS THAT WE, THEY, WE CURRENTLY HAVE PLANNED FOR NON-FAT RESPONSE FOR THE VELASCO DRAINAGE DISTRICT TO DO AS WORKING KIND.
UM, THERE'S TWO SECTIONS, WHICH IS THE MUFF WALL AND THE DSM WALL, WHICH REALLY CONSISTS OF, UH, REPLACING IOWA THAT'S THERE WITH, WITH LEVY.
AND THEY'LL BE DOING THAT ON THEIR OWN, USING THEIR OWN, UH, CREWS.
UM, AND AGAIN, THEY'LL BE COUNTED AS WORKING KIND, UH, TOWARDS THE 35% COST SHARE.
NEXT SLIDE THAT WE HAVE IS, I DO WANNA SHARE, UH, WITH YOU GUYS AND THE PUBLIC, OUR SABINA GALVESTON WEBSITES AND OUR STORY MAPS.
AS WE CONTINUE TO MOVE FORWARD WITH OUR DESIGN, UH, WE DO PLAN TO UPDATE THE PUBLIC, UM, OF WHERE WE'RE AT WITH THE DESIGN, ESPECIALLY ONCE CONSTRUCTION STARTS.
[00:10:01]
WE DO DO, UH, PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETINGS, UM, TWICE A YEAR.WE DO ONE IN PUBLIC, WHICH WE DID ONE IN JANUARY, AND THEN WE DO ANOTHER ONE SIX MONTHS LATER, WHICH WE'RE ABOUT TO DO ONE.
SO, BUT IN THOSE PERIODS, BETWEEN THOSE PERIODS, WE DO, WE DO WANT TO KEEP UPDATING OUR WEBSITE AND OUR INTERACTIVE STORY MAP TO KEEP THE PUBLIC AWARE OF, OF WHERE WE'RE AT WITH THE PROJECT.
AND THEN HERE'S JUST THEIR INFORMATION FOR UPCOMING PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, JULY 27TH, UM, AT 11:30 AM SO LAST TIME WE HAD ONE OF THESE, UM, WE, WE HAD SEVERAL AT DIFFERENT TIMES.
WE HAD ONE IN THE MORNING, AFTERNOON AT THIS TIME, AND THEN ONE IN THE EVENING.
THE BEST TURNOUT WAS DURING LUNCH.
SO THAT'S WHY JUST IN CASE YOU GUYS ARE WONDERING IF I JUST RUIN YOUR LUNCHTIME OR NOT, UM, THAT'S THE REASON WHY IT SAID 1130.
SO, UM, WE DO HAVE THERE SOME INFORMATION, UM, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEND QUESTIONS.
WE DO HAVE OUR EMAIL WHERE YOU CAN SEND QUESTIONS OR YOU COULD ALSO ASK THE QUESTION AT THE PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING THROUGH, THROUGH OUR WEBEX.
UM, AND THEN, AND THEN AGAIN, THAT'S OUR, OUR, THE INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE AND THE WAY TO CONNECT TO THE, TO THE PUBLIC INFORMATION SYSTEM.
IT ALSO BE, BE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE FACEBOOK AND THE TWITTER, UM, FOR YOU GUYS TO GET THAT INFORMATION.
ANY QUESTIONS? THAT'S ALL I HAVE FOR YOU GUYS TONIGHT.
ROSIE, COULD YOU TAKE US BACK TO FP FPV OH TWO, PLEASE? I THINK I CAN GO BACK.
SO IN YOUR INITIAL PLAN, YOUR INITIAL PRESENTATION, YOU HAD A PUMP STATION ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE DOW BARGE CANAL.
IT WAS GONNA DISCHARGE WATER INTO THE FRESHWATER CANAL.
SO ORIGINALLY THE PLAN, YOU ARE CORRECT, WE HAD A DRAINAGE STRUCTURE UP HERE.
WHICH WAS GONNA, THE WATER WAS GONNA FLOW OUT, GO DOWN THIS CANAL, AND THEN THE EAST LEVY PUMP STATION WAS GONNA PUMP IT OUT.
VELASCO DRAINAGE DISTRICT ARE STILL GONNA INCREASE THE CAPACITY.
THEY'RE ADDING THREE PUMPS TO THAT, TO THAT STATION TO INCREASE THEIR CAPACITY.
BUT WHAT WE'RE DOING NOW IS WE FIGURED AS WE DID MORE INFORMATION, WE GATHER MORE INFORMATION.
THE WATER THAT WE WERE DRAINING OUT, IT WAS WAY TOO MUCH EVEN TO GO ALONG FOR THE CAPACITY.
SO WHAT WE'RE DOING IS THE GATE THAT WE'RE BUILDING HERE IS NOT ONLY GONNA BE A GATE, BUT IT'S GONNA COME WITH A PUMP STATION.
SO WHEN THE GATE CLOSES, IT'LL PUMP THE WATER UP.
THAT WAS THE AREA WHERE WE WERE WORRIED THAT IT WAS GONNA YES, SIR.
CAUSE THAT'S OUR PRIMARY DISCHARGE POINT HERE.
AND, AND WE, WE HEARD OF THAT CONCERN, SO WE WENT INTO LOOK INTO OUR NUMBERS AND OUR INTERIOR DRAINAGE AND THAT'S WHAT WE CHANGED FROM LAST TIME.
SO ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? WE GOT EM.
WE GOT, I AGAIN, I DO THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALLOWING US TO, TO GIVE YOU A, A STATUS AND PRESENT THIS TO YOU.
LET'S GO AHEAD AND TAKE A FIVE MINUTE RECESS WHILE ROSIE THE, UH, IT'S WORKING NOW.

MANLY SMELL THAT WHAT THEY CALL IT.
[00:20:39]
ALL RIGHT.NEXT ITEM WOULD BE CONSIDERATION OF POSSIBLE ACTION TO ADOPT RESOLUTION NUMBER 39 DASH 2023 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND OUR CITY MANAGER SIGNATURE ON THE SITE SITE USE WITH FORT BEND COUNTY FOR VEHICLE STORAGE DURING AN EMERGENCY DE DISASTER.
THIS TIME I WOULD CONSIDER A MOTION TO TABLE OUT OF D AS THE PROPO AS THE CONTRACT HAS NOT BEEN FINALIZED AT THIS TIME.
DO I HAVE A SECOND? I'LL SECOND.
MADDOX, ANY DISCUSSION? JUST SO COUNSEL KNOWS THERE'S NO ISSUE.
FORT BEND COUNTY'S ATTORNEY IS JUST TAKING A LONG TIME TO PROCESS THE CONTRACT AND SEND IT BACK.
IT'S JUST, SO WOULD IT BE FOR WE, WE'LL JUST SAY A HURRICANE.
WE KNOW HURRICANE'S COMING, WE TAKE OUR VEHICLES, STAGED THEM THERE IN STORAGE TO BE PREPARED FOR AFTER IT MOVES THROUGH.
THE CURRENT CONTRACT, JUST SO EVERYBODY KNOWS, IS VALID UNTIL AUGUST THROUGH AUGUST OF THIS YEAR.
EVEN WITH DELAY, WE SHOULD STILL BE COVERED AS WE GO THROUGH THE REST OF HURRICANE SEASON.
I STARTED SAY, HOW LONG DO WE THINK CUZ HURRICANE SEASON.
HURRICANE SEASON ON UNTIL TILL NOVEMBER.
DO WE THINK WE'LL HAVE THE CONTRACT THOUGH BEFORE AUGUST 31ST? WE'VE PUT FEELERS OUT.
UNFORTUNATELY, UH, MOST OF MY CONTACTS THAT USED TO BE WITH OEM AND PORTLAND COUNTY HAVE RETIRED AND MOVED.
DON UH, THE NEW GUYS HAVE BEEN VERY RESPONSIVE THOUGH, SO WE HAVE EVERY CONFIDENCE THAT WE GET THIS.
MAYBE WE CAN SEND OUR ATTORNEY UP THERE.
WE, WE COULD, I'VE ALSO MADE INQUIRY WITH YOU OF THE COMMISSIONERS TO TRY AND PROPEL THE THING ALONG A LITTLE BIT.
SO ITS, ITS SCHEDULED FURTHER COMMISSIONER COURT ON JULY.
BUT WE SHOULD HOPEFULLY KNOW SOMETHING NEXT MONTH BEFORE THE END OF AUGUST.
I'D HAVE A MOTION AND A SECOND.
UNANIMOUS ITEM D HAS BEEN TABLED.
NEXT ITEM IS CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO ADOPT RESOLUTION NUMBER, GOTTA GET MY PAPERWORK IN ORDER HERE.
40 DASH 2023 DECLARING CERTAIN ITEMS AS SURPLUS AND SALVAGE AND APPROVING OF THEIR DISPOSAL.
AND IT WOULD BE RESOLUTION NUMBER 40 DASH 2023.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY UTE, TEXAS APPROVING THE DECLARATION OF CITY PROPERTY AS SURPLUS OR SALVAGE.
WHEREAS THE CITY UTE HAS DETERMINED THAT CERTAIN VEHICLES, EQUIPMENT AND ITEMS AS SHOWN IN THE EXHIBIT A, ATTACHED HERE TO AND MADE A PART HEREOF ARE SURPLUS, OBSOLETE, OR UNUSABLE FOR PRESENT AND FUTURE CITY NEEDS.
WHEREAS THE CITY AUTHORIZES THE AUCTION OF SALVAGED ITEMS, SALVAGE VEHICLES ITEMS DETERMINED TO BE SURPLUS.
AND WHEREAS THE CITY DESIRES TO DISPOSE OF BY PUBLIC AUCTION THROUGH GOV DEALS.COM.
THE VEHICLES AND ITEMS DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT A ATTACHED HERE TWO AND MADE PART HEREOF, WHICH HAVE BEEN DETERMINED TO BE SURPLUS OBSOLETE, ARE UNUSABLE FOR PRESENT OR FUTURE CITY NEEDS.
WHEREAS THE CITY COUNCIL CONCURS IN THE FINDING THAT THE VE VEHICLES AND ITEMS DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT A ARE SURPLUS AND NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY INCLUDE TEXAS THAT GOV DEALS.COM IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO EXPOSE OF BY PUBLIC AUCTION SURPLUS VEHICLES AND ITEMS PRESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT A ATTACHED READ PAST AND ADOPTED.
THIS 13TH DAY OF JULY WILL BE 2023.
IT'LL BE SIGNED BY MYSELF TO TESTIFY BY ROSE APPOINTMENT CITY CLERK.
AS YOU WILL NOTE, YOU WERE JUST GIVEN AN UPDATED LIST OF THOSE VEHICLES.
THE, THE ORIGINAL ONLY HAD A COUPLE ON IT.
SO CHIEF DOUCETTE AND THE, UH, FIRE DEPARTMENT HAVE A SPECIAL REQUEST RELATED TO THE DISPOSAL OF THEIR ITEMS. CHIEF? YEAH.
AS FAR AS, UH, ON THE LIST, MERRILL HANK, WERE GETTING EVERYTHING AS FAR AS WHERE IT CAN GO TO
[00:25:01]
AUCTION AS, AS WE CAN RELEASE IT AND STUFF ONTO THERE AS FAR AS, YOU'VE GOT TWO FIRE TRUCKS AND EVERYTHING.THE FIRST FIRE TRUCK AND EVERYTHING.
9 0 5 IS THE, UH, THE BRUSH TRUCK OR THE FAST ATTACK TRUCK AND EVERYTHING.
AS FAR AS ONTO IT, WHEN WE GET THE, UH, REPLACEMENT, WHAT WE ALL AGREED ON AND TO TELL YOU IN NARROW HANG, I DID SEE THE CHASSIS IS IN PLACE AND THEY ARE MANUFACTURING IT.
WE MADE A VISIT THERE LAST, LAST WEEK.
SO, AND UH, THEN THE UH, FIRE TRUCK DOWN THERE AT THE BOTTOM IS THE, UH, OLD PUMPER AND EVERYTH HANG AS FAR AS WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO GET RID OF ALSO AND PUT IT.
AND THEN THE, UH, SUBURBAN AND THE EXPEDITION ARE, UH, WE'VE BEEN REPLACING THOSE WITH TRUCKS AS THEY COME IN AND HANG FOR COMMAND VEHICLES AND UTILITY VEHICLES ON THE CHANGE ONTO THERE.
IF WE CAN ASK FOR, TAKE THIS AND TAKE OFF THE SALVAGE EQUIPMENT, UTILIZE IT ON UH, THE EQUIPMENT AND EVERYTHING THAT WE GOT COMING IN OR, UH, SOME OF THE PRESENT EQUIPMENT, WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT.
AND THEN AS FAR AS ABOUT THE, UH, THE EXPECTED HANG, TRY TO EARMARK THIS MONEY AND IT HANG AS FAR AS FOR A SPECIAL FUND AND EVERYTHING STRICTLY FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, YOU KNOW, THINK IF THAT'S POSSIBLE.
SO THE TO UH, REVISE THE OLD ORIGINAL TRUCK IN AIRLINE THAT WE HAVE, UH, AS FAR AS WE WANT TO REVAMP THAT AND MAKE THAT USEFUL.
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FIREFIGHTERS HAVE ASKED IF THE MONIES THAT ARE GENERATED THROUGH THESE CELLS COULD BE USED TOWARDS THE REHABILITATION OF THE OLD SEA BREEZE, SEA GRAPES, SEA GRAPES, UH, TRUCK THAT'S CURRENTLY IN STATION 3 19 40 SUB MODEL OR SOMETHING.
ONE OF THE ORIGINAL TRUCKS AND EVERYTHING THAT WE HAD, I MEAN, IS IS IT WORTH, I MEAN IS IT IN USE RIGHT NOW? IT'S NOT.
IT IT, IT NEEDS TO BE REHABBED.
IS IT WORTH IT WOULD BE A REMODEL.
YEAH, SHOWPIECE AND EVERYTHING.
GREAT VEHICLE SHOW THE HISTORY AND EVERYTHING AND THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE, UH, THE DEPARTMENT AND HOW FAR WE COME AND THAT CAN BE UTILIZED RAIDS, UH, FOR, UH, FUNCTIONS IN
UH, AND, AND AS FOR FORTUNATELY WE WOULDN'T HAVE TO USE IT MUCH ALONE AND EVERYTHING.
IT COULD BE UTILIZED AND EVERYTHING FOR HONORING OUR, OUR PAST UH, OUR DE UH, DEPARTED FIREFIGHTERS AND EVERYTHING AS OTHER DEPARTMENTS DO.
WHERE DID THIS MONEY GO OTHERWISE INTO THE GENERAL FUND.
YEAH, I MEAN DO YOU HAVE A, DO WE THINK WE HAVE AN ESTIMATE OF HOW MUCH WE WOULD EVEN GET FOR THESE FOUR VEHICLES OR HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO, UH, IN TERMS OF HOW MUCH WE WOULD GET? THERE'S NO TELLING BECAUSE IT'S AN AUCTION, RIGHT.
UH, IN TERMS OF THE REPAIRING THE TRUCK, IT'S MY UNDERSTANDING IT NEEDS A NEW MOTOR AND A NEW TRANSMISSION.
I BELIEVE AT ONE POINT WE HAD A MOTOR YEAH.
BUT IT WOULDN'T MARRY UP WITH THE TRANSMISSION.
AND THEN WE GOING TO TAKE THE, UTILIZING EVERYTHING OUT THAT ONE OF THOSE FIRE TRUCKS AND THEY'LL HANG TOO.
BUT AS FAR IT WOULD TOOK MORE PEOPLE UP IN
SO BETTER TO BE ABLE TO BE MORE PRESENTABLE AND EVERYTHING TO GET MORE OF AN OFFER.
WELL IT'S GONNA NEED A, IT'S GONNA NEED SOME UPHOLSTERY AT A PAINT JOB AND YEAH, I MEAN WITH THE PAINT JOB IN HAN, I THINK WE CAN KIND OF BUCKET IT OUT IN HAND.
SO IS THE ORIGINAL MOTOR STILL IN IT? NO.
WELL IT'S ON IT ALL PARKED AND EVERYTHING.
IT WAS YEARS AGO IT WAS SENT NE HANG TO GET REHIRED, HANG AT THE, UH, PRISON AND IT DID NOT ALL COME BACK THE ENGINE
SO WE'D HAVE TO PUT ANOTHER ENGINE IN THERE AND NOW THAT ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REHAULED OR REPLACED.
BUT IT IS, BUT IT WILL FIT THE TRANSMISSION ITSELF.
THERE IS, THERE IS AN ENGINE IN IT RIGHT NOW, YOU KNOW, AS FAR AS IT MAY TAKE A NARROW HANG AS FAR AS LOOKING AT IT AND REHAB IT, YOU KNOW, BUT YOU WOULD'VE TO GET INTO IT NARROW HANG, I COULDN'T GIVE YOU A TRUE COST HANG AS FAR AS WHAT IT WOULD BE DOING TODAY.
YEAH, I'D BE ABLE TO GET SOME VOLUNTEERS.
ANYTHING I, ANYTHING WE'RE LOOKING AT ANY
[00:30:01]
ASPECT WE BE ABLE TO PUT IT BACK IN SERVICE.AND DUCT TAPE, BAILOR WIRE, I'M MAKING A LIVING ON IT.
SO YOU NEED A MOTION? YES SIR.
HAVE A MOTION BY COUNCILMAN CHRIS, THAT RESOLUTION NUMBER 40 DASH 2023 BE PASSED AND READ.
SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN AGUILAR DISCUSSION BEFORE THIS THING GETS SENT OFF SOMEWHERE.
COULD WE GET A HEADS UP BEFORE THE YES.
A MAJOR MOVE AND EXPENSE GOES OUT? OH, ABSOLUTELY.
ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OR COMMENT? I'VE SEEN THE OLD TRUCK.
THE OLD TRUCK IS, WOULD BE A ASSET TO THE, FOR, FOR WHAT Y'ALL TRYING TO PURPOSE IT FOR? YES, SIR.
AND I MEAN, IT'D BE A PROMOTIONAL PARTNER AND EVERYTHING FOR THE CITY OF DOLLARS.
WE COULD BE LUCKY YEARS ON MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE.
SO, AND WE HAVE HAD CONTACT WITH SOME, UH, RESTORES AND EVERYTHING AND THEY'RE WILLING TO, UH, DONATE SOME OF THEIR LABOR TIME AND STUFF ONTO THERE.
SO, BUT ALL THIS INFORMATION WILL BE RELAYED BACK OKAY.
AS, AS WE PROGRESS THROUGH IT.
YEAH, I'D KINDA LIKE TO KEEP UP WITH THE REPAIRS ON THIS TRUCK.
HAVE A MOTION A SECOND PENDING.
NEXT ITEM WOULD BE CONSIDERATION OF POSSIBLE ACTION TO ADOPT RESOLUTION NUMBER 41 DASH 2023 APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION.
AND IT WOULD BE CITY OF RESOLUTION NUMBER 41 DASH 2023 APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION.

THIRD, THAT THIS RESOLUTION AFTER EXECUTION IN THAT TESTATION SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN THE PERMANENT RECORDS OF THE CITY OF FLUTE TEXAS.
READ PASS AND APPROVED AS 13TH DAY OF JULY, 2023 AD SIGNED BY MYSELF AS TESTED BY ROSE APPOINTMENT CITY CLERK.
OKAY, WELL I, UH, THESE TWO GENTLEMEN CURRENTLY SERVE ON THE, ON THE PLANNING AND ZONING.
THEY, THEY VOLUNTEERED TO RE-UP THEIR POSITION.
THIS IS, UH, JUST MAKING IT LEGAL.
MOTION MADE BY COUNCILOR PERSON MADDOX, THAT WE ADOPT RESOLUTION 41 DASH 2023.
I'LL SECOND SECONDED BY MR. LOPEZ.
ANY DISCUSSION? JUST THANK YOU FOR VOLUNTEERING.
[00:35:01]
BE CONSIDERATION OF POSSIBLE ACTION TO ADOPT RESOLUTION NUMBER 42 DASH 2023.APPOINT A MEMBER TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION COM COMMISSION AND IT WOULD BE STEVE INCLUDE RESOLUTION NUMBER 42 DASH 2023 APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
WHEREAS THE CITY COUNCIL SHALL APPOINT MEMBERS TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND WHEREAS EACH DIRECTOR SHALL SERVE A TERM OF TWO YEARS OR UNTIL HIS OR HER SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, UNLESS SUCH DIRECTOR HAS BEEN APPOINTED TO FILL A UNEX EXPIRED TERM, IN WHICH CASE THE TERM THE DIRECTOR SHALL EXPIRE ON THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE TERM OF THE DIRECTOR WHOSE POSITION HE OR SHE WAS APPOINTED TO FILL POSITION TWO HAS BEEN VACATED AND THE CITY COUNCIL WISHES TO APPOINT ANY NEW MEMBER TO FILL SAID POSITION AT THIS TIME.

AND SECOND THAT THIS RESOLUTION AFTER EXECUTION IN ATTESTATION SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN THE PERMANENT RECORDS OF THE CITY OF INCLUDE TEXAS READ PAST AND APPROVED.
THIS 13TH DAY OF JULY, 2023 WILL BE SIGNED BY MYSELF AND HAS TESTIFIED BY ROSIE POINTMENT CITY CLERK.
MOTION MADE BY COUNCILMAN AGUILAR.
SECOND PER SECOND BY COUNCIL PERSON.
HEARING NONE, I'LL ENTERTAIN A VOTE.
NEXT ITEM WOULD BE CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTS TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 23 DASH OH 10 NOR DOES OF THE CITY INCLUDE REVISING IN CLARIFYING SECTION 6.2 AND 6.3 OF THE CITY'S ZONING CODE AS IT PERTAINS TO FENCING.
ORDINANCE NUMBER 23 DASH OH 10.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF CLU, TEXAS AMENDING ARTICLE SIX OF APPENDIX A ZONING OF THE CITY OF CLU CODE TO CODE OF ORDINANCES SPECIFICALLY AMENDING SECTION 6.2 AND 6.3 RELATED TO THE CONSTRUCTION OFFENSES CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND A REPEATER CLAUSE ARE PROVIDED FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW SINCE WE HAD, UH, TWO SECTIONS OF CODE CONFLICTED WITH EACH OTHER, I KNOW THAT COMES IN THE SHOCK COMMITTEE.
UM, BUT SECTION TWO SAID THAT THE MAXIMUM HEIGHT FENCE IN THE CITY COULD BE 10 FOOT.
SECTION THREE SAID THAT THE MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF THE FENCE COULD BE SIX FOOT.
UH, MR. UH, HAYSLIP AND MR. DUNCAN HAVE WORKED TOGETHER TO TRY AND FORMULATE WHAT WE THINK IS A REASONABLE SOLUTION TO THE CONFLICTING SECTIONS AND I WILL LET THEM EXPLAIN.
YOU WANNA KIND OF EXPLAIN WHY WE, WHERE WE SETTLED THAT, WHERE WAS SETTLED? I'M SORRY.
EXPLAIN TO COUNSEL WHERE WE SETTLED ON THE SEVEN FOOT AND OKAY.
AT THE MICROPHONE ON YOUR BACKYARD FENCING LIKE FROM FRONT OF THE HOUSE ALL THE WAY AROUND TO YOUR BACK AREA, SETTLED FOR A SIX FOOT PICKET AND THEN ALL THE WAY UP TO A TWO BY 12 ON THE BOTTOM FOR A ROCK BOARD.
CAUSE SOME PEOPLE LIKE A LARGER ROCK BOARD THAT'LL MAX YOU OUT RIGHT AT JUST HAIR UNDER SEVEN FEET.
THE 6.2 PART, DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN THAT ONE? NO SIR.
BUT YOU MIGHT ME EXPLAIN THE FRONT YARD FRONT FRONT YARD IS, YEAH.
ON THE SECTION SIX TWO, THE ONE WE'RE TRYING TO CHANGE THERE, IF YOU HAVE TWO DRIVEWAYS THAT ARE BORDERLINE ON THE PROPERTY LINE, WOULD LIKE TO RUN A PRIVATE FENCE, NOT MORE THAN 30 INCHES NON C 48 INCHES TOTAL HEIGHT ALL THE WAY TO THE FRONT OF THE PROPERTY LINE.
REASON FOR THAT IS KEEP PEOPLE, YOUR NEIGHBOR FROM PARKING ON YOU AND YOU FROM PARKING ON YOUR NEIGHBOR.
THAT'S THE REASON THAT WAS THE, THE THOUGHT BEHIND IT.
BUT NO OTHER FENCING IN THE FRONT YARD.
IS THAT THE, IS THE THE HEIGHTS OR, OR IS THAT THE ONLY THING THAT'S CHANGING IN THIS ORDINANCE? OR ARE WE ALSO CHANGING THAT THERE'S NO FRONT YARD FENCES? WELL, IT, SO THE ALLOWANCE WOULD BE FOR A FRONT YARD FENCE ALONG THE SIDING.
UH, THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, THE CURRENT CODE I BELIEVE, IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN, WE DID AWAY WITH THE FRONT SIDING AND THE FENCING BACK IN THE LATE SEVENTIES.
IS THERE ANYTHING THAT'S LEFT AS GRANDFATHERED? THIS WOULD ALLOW FOR NO C FENCING UP TO TWO, TWO AND A HALF FEET AND THEN C FENCING UP TO FOUR FEET TOTAL THAT TO SERVE AS A DIVIDER BETWEEN THE TWO PROPERTIES ALONG THOSE DRIVEWAYS.
BUT OTHERWISE THERE WOULD BE NO FRONT SIDE FENCING.
THE REMAINDER WOULD ADDRESS THE REAR
[00:40:01]
FENCING WHERE WE HAVE A VARIATION IN THE CODE THAT CURRENTLY ALLOWS FOR AS HIGH AS 10 OR SIX DEPENDING ON WHOSE INTERPRETATION OF THE ORDINANCE YOU READ AND WHICH SECTION YOU HAPPEN TO READ FIRST.WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR YOUR PERMIT, WE'RE TRYING TO MAKE IT TO WHERE NOW BACKYARD FENCES ARE ONLY SEVEN FOOT.
IT'LL BE A, IT'LL BE A CONSOLIDATED CONSENSUS.
HOW AND HOW DID WE DECIDE ON THE SEVEN OR HOW DID THAT COME UP? WELL, SO IT'S A STANDARD SIX FOOT PICKET, WHICH IS WHAT'S CALLED FOR BY MOST CODE.
AND THEN ALLOWING FOR A A 12 INCH RISER OR ROCK BOARD, YOU COULD DO TWO COURSES OF SIX INCHES OR ONE COURSE OF 12 BELOW THAT IS YOUR ROCK BOARD AT THE BASE OF THE FENCE.
I'M NOT REAL SURE THIS HAD, THIS HADN'T ORIGINATED, UH, THE PARTIES THAT OWNED PROPERTY WITH DIFFERENT GRADE LEVELS.
ASSUMING MY SON WAS PROBABLY THE FIRST ONE THAT DID IT.
YOU COULD WALK OUT THEIR BACK DOOR.
BACK DOOR AND YOU COULD SEE THE SIDEWALK ACROSS THE STREET.
AND MY GRANDKIDS IN THE POOL, THERE WOULD BE PEOPLE I'M USING, PEOPLE GENERALLY COULD SEE.
SO TO MAKE IT, EVEN WITH THE FRONT OF HIS HOUSE, HIS FENCE ENDED UP BEING 10 FOOT TALL.
ANYBODY BEEN DOWN DIXIE DRIVE, SEEN IT AND NOW THERE'S A MATCHING ONE.
I PRESUME THE HOUSE THAT THAT'S GOING UP IN THE MIDDLE WILL WANT TO MATCH THOSE.
AND WHAT PART, HOW DOES GRANDFATHER, IN CASE ONE OF THESE PEOPLE THAT'S INVESTED IN SOME FENCE AND LENA SAY IT'S A REALLY EXPENSIVE FENCE TO BUILD ON THAT TALL, BUT THEIRS WASN'T DONE AND I DON'T KNOW IF THERE'S ANY OTHER PLACES INCLUDE THAT MAY HAVE THIS SLOPE PROBLEM.
SO WE HAD ONE OTHER OR A COUPLE OTHER GOING WITH NO SLOPE ISSUES GOING TO 10 FOOT, WHICH CREATES OTHER ISSUES.
SO WE GONNA LIMIT WELL THAT'S, IT MADE ME IN THE BATHWATER ARGUMENT AND SO I MEAN WE'RE, WE'RE HERE TO DO Y'ALL'S BIDDING.
Y'ALL TELL US HOW YOU WANT LEAVE IT AND WE'LL, WE'LL TAKE THAT HILL.
WELL AND LIKE I SAID, I, I FEEL A LITTLE GUILTY CAUSE I'VE GOT A LITTLE PERSONAL INSIGHT ON THIS PARTICULAR SITUATION.
UH, THEIR FENCE IS DONE, TWO HOUSES DOWN THEIR FENCE IS DONE.
SO I'M ASSUMING THEY WOULD BE GRANDFATHERED.
IS THAT THE CASE? IF A HURRICANE BLOWS IT DOWN, CAN THEY COME BACK UP WITH 10 OR IS HE GONNA BE AWARE OF THIS ORDINANCE SAYS CAN'T GO BACK THAT WAY.
HOW WOULD THAT WORK? I THINK THERE NEEDS, IN THIS CASE WE DO NEED TO LOOK AT AN EXCEPTION TO THAT ALSO TO ALLOW THAT, WELL EVERY RULE THAT WE GIVE A APPEARANCE FOR ENDS UP YOU GOT A SEVEN FOOT DEEP DIP DEEP DITCH THERE.
YOU TALKING ABOUT THAT IS THE CIRCUMSTANCES.
AND I CAN UNDERSTAND, BUT YOU KNOW, WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD.
I I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU DRAW A LINE.
I MEAN I I I MAY BE TOTALLY OUTTA LINE BUT I I'M UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT IF YOU ARE DAMAGED BY NATURAL DISASTER YOU CAN REPLACE TO WHAT WAS EXISTING GOING BACK.
I I DIDN'T BUT THAT'S UNDER BUILDING CODE.
BUT I DON'T KNOW THAT IT APPLIES DEFENSES.
WE COULD PUT A RIDER IN HERE TO ALLOW IT TO APPLY FOR FENCES.
AND I KNOW THERE'S SOME CASES WHERE 10 FOOT IS OBVIOUSLY, WHICH SEEM REALLY NOT GOOD, BUT I CAN SHOW YOU FOUR PLACES THAT IT'S NO HIGHER THAN THE, THE SIX FOOT PICKET IN THE FRONT.
THE BACK IS NO HIGHER, BUT IT'S FURTHER TO THE GROUND.
CUZ THEY BUILD THEIR HOME TWO, THREE FEET ABOVE STREET LEVEL AND IT AND IT BECOME A, IT BECOME A VISUAL THING THAT YOU COULD LITERALLY, IF YOU DRIVE DOWN DIXIE DRIVE, YOU CAN SEE IN THOSE ONLY ABOUT HALF OF THEM BECAUSE I GUESS THE PROPERTY LINES ARE WAY, THE DITCHES CUT IS A DIFFERENT SITUATION.
UM, AND THERE'S A HOUSE GOING UP IN THE MIDDLE OF TWO HOUSES, WHICH I AM PRESUMING IS PROBABLY NOT GOING TO LOOK LIKE A CHECKERBOARD FENCE.
SO I GUESS THAT'S MY QUESTION.
AND MAYBE I'M A LITTLE OUTTA LINE CAUSE I'VE GOT A LITTLE BIT OF PERSONAL IN THIS SITUATION, BUT I'M ALSO FEELING FOR BILL THE PROPERTY OWNERS.
WELL WHAT IS THE DRAWBACK IF WE JUST, IF 10 FOOT WAS, WELL THAT WAS GONNA BE MY QUESTION.
IS THERE A REASON THAT WE DON'T WANT IT TO BE 10 FEET? RIGHT.
BUT TYPICALLY FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION AND THE ABILITY, IF YOU'RE LOOKING AT SIGHT LINES ON, ON CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS, YOU DON'T WANNA HAVE A FENCE THAT TALL BECAUSE OF THE ELEVATION OF THE ROAD VERSUS THE, THE ELEVATION, THE TOP OF THE FENCE.
AND THEN FOR TYPICALLY SPEAKING, FENCING IS MORE, MORE OF A FUNCTION OF BEING ABLE TO GET INTO THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY AND SERVICE IT CARRYING A FIRE LINE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT IN, THAT'S TYPICALLY WHY YOU LIMIT LIFT YOUR HEIGHT BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT GONNA HAVE A FIREFIGHTER IF THAT'S EIGHT FOOT TALL, BEING ABLE TO CHUCK A LINE OVER ALSO IT HAS A LOT MORE WIND RESISTANCE.
WHEN YOU GET THE BIGGER THE WALL, THE MORE FORCE IT WOULD BE FOR HURRICANE WINDS AND THINGS LIKE THAT.
SO I, BUT YOU KNOW, I TO COUNCIL MEMBER CHRIS, YOU SHOULDN'T FEEL ANY GUILT AT ALL.
YOUR JOB IS TO REPRESENT CONSTITUENCIES AND SO THOSE ARE SOME
[00:45:01]
GOOD QUESTIONS TO ASK.AND SO I, I THINK IF COUNCIL WANTS TO DO A SET ASIDE FOR 10 FOOT ON BOUNDARY PROPERTIES ALIGNED WITH A DITCH, WE CAN COME UP WITH SOMETHING OR REPLACEMENT AND WE CAN EXPAND THE CODE.
NOW I CAN SURE WHAT IT WOULD LIKE IF IT WAS EIGHT FOOT IN THE FRONT, THEN IT WOULD LOOK, YOU KNOW.
WELL, BUT ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS KIND OF AN ISOLATED CASE CONSISTING OF ABOUT FIVE HOMES.
HOW CAN'T WE WORD IT WHERE THAT YOU, YOU ALLOW FOR THE FENCE TO BE SEVEN FOOT TALL WITH A VARIANCE FOR A SLOPE LAWN THAT IT CAN MAINTAIN THE LEVEL AT THE TOP MR. WORDSMITH? YEAH, WE CAN, WE CAN HAVE IT RELATED TO THE, THE STANDARD GRADE OF THE, OF THE LOT, SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING? IT COULD BE, IT COULD BE THAT, THAT SEVEN FOOT FROM THE HIGHEST POINT ON THE PROPERTY AND LEVEL.
YEAH, I THINK MIKE HAD A COMMENT.
AND JUST AS FOR, IS THIS JUST FOR UH, RESIDENTIAL OR IS IT OVER COMMERCIAL ALSO? WELL, THE RIGHT, RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET, RIGHT.
COMMERCIAL HAS AN EIGHT FOOT COMMERCIAL, HAS A DIFFERENT ALLOWANCE.
AND THIS IS ONLY A BACK FENCE, RIGHT? JUST A, WELL THIS IS THE BACK FENCE AND ALSO THE QUESTION OF THE SIDE.
WELL, I MEAN IF THE, IF THE, IF THE LAWN SLOPES YES, FROM THE FRONT TO THE BACK, THE SIDE FENCE, THE SIDE FENCES.
IF, IF YOU BUILD THE SIDE FENCE LEVEL ACROSS, THE BACK FENCE IS GONNA BE HIGHER THAN THE FRONT FENCE AND THE SIDE FENCES WILL BE LEVELLED DOWN NOW.
SO I GUESS WE WANNA SAY SEVEN FOOT FROM GRADE OR TEN SEVEN FOOT FROM THE HIGHEST 0.7 FOOT FROM HIGHEST POINT WHERE WE COULD DO SEVEN FOOT FROM THE GRADE OF THE FOUNDATION OF THE HOUSE.
WHAT IF THEY HAVE A BIG HILL THEN THAT COULD BE A REALLY EXTREMELY TALL FENCE IN THE SEVEN FOOT FROM THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE LOT.
IF YOU COULD, IF YOU COULD GO, I MEAN IF YOU COULD GO SEVEN FOOT AT YOUR HIGHEST POINT AND KEEP IT LEVEL, THAT SHOULD, THAT SHOULD MAINTAIN, I JUST DUNNO KNOW HOW YOU WORD THAT.
I'LL FIGURE OUT A WAY THAT THE, THAT'S WHAT YOU GET PAID.
THAT THE TOP ELEVATION CANNOT BE HIGHER THAN SEVEN FOOT AT THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE GROUND.
AND LIKE I SAID, I SEE BOTH SIDES OF THE ARGUMENT.
I DO, BUT CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE IT AS WELL.
I MEAN IF YOU LOOK, IF, IF YOU, I, A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THAT IS WHERE THE OLD DANIELS GOLF STATION USED TO BE DOWN THERE.
IF YOU GO DOWN THERE AND LOOK, THE FENCE GOES
SO Y'ALL WANNA TELL ME IT GOES, IT GOES LIKE THIS, THEN IT'LL GO UP, THEN IT LEVELS OFF AND THAT'S THE SAME THING THAT THEY'RE GONNA DO AT THE BOTTOM.
IF THEY KEEP THE TOP LEVEL, THE BOTTOM WOULD BE LIKE THAT.
NOW IF WE'RE EVER FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BUILD ON ANY OF THESE LAKES, THERE'S GONNA BE A SLOPE THAT COULD POSSIBLY EVEN IT WOOD SHORE I GUESS AT SOME POINT WHERE YOUR TOP FENCE WOULD BE AND IT WOULD SLOPE.
NOT EVERYBODY WANTS IT LEVEL, MAYBE THEY WANTED IT TO GO WITH A SLOPE.
THIS PRE PARTICULAR CASE WAS THE FACT IT SLOPED TO THE POINT WHERE IT WAS LIKE NOT HAVING A FENCE.
IT WAS EYE LEVEL STRAIGHT ACROSS TO THE RIGHT SIDEWALK ACROSS THE STREET THAT THE DITCH CAUSED BECAUSE WE EVEN ARGUED, HOW DID Y'ALL CALL THIS A PRIVACY FENCE.
BUT ANYWAY, THAT'S NEITHER HERE NOR THERE.
WELL I THINK THAT WE CAN TAKE, I THINK THAT EVERYBODY'S IN AGREEMENT THAT IF WE GO SEVEN FOOT FROM THE HIGHEST POINT AND THEY CAN KEEP IT LEVEL AT THAT POINT AROUND THEIR PROPERTY.
CAN I MAKE YOUR MOTION THAT WE TABLE IT TILL HE COMES UP WITH THE WORDING? YES SIR.
HAVE A MOTION BY COUNCILMAN CHRIS, THAT ITEM H BE TABLED FOR TILL FINALIZED.
AND I HAVE A SECOND BY MR. AGUILAR.
ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION? I JUST GOT A QUESTION ON THE PERMIT PROCESS.
SO IF SOMEBODY WANTS TO BUILD THEIR OWN FENCE, HOW DOES THE, HOW DOES THE COST OF THE PERMIT WORK? IS THERE A A STANDARD FEE OR DOES IT GO BY THE SIZE? IT SAYS STANDARD FEE.
AND WHAT WHAT'S THAT FEE? UH, THAT'S A GREAT QUESTION.
IT'S AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE.
IT'S NOT A PERCENTAGE OF THE COST IS IT? NO, IT'S NOT A PERCENTAGE OF THE COST.
I THINK IT'S JUST A FLAT FEE LIKE DRAWING A, A JERRY WHAT'S THE FENCE? PERMIT TO WHAT? AROUND 27 50 IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY.
YEAH, I THINK IT WAS, I WAS JUST CURIOUS.
[00:50:01]
OKAY.THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE SURVEY OR ANYTHING IF FOR JUST REPLACING NO, NO, NO AND NO, NO INDIVIDUAL DRAWINGS, NONE OF THAT.
IT WOULD BY, I MEAN, WOULDN'T COME UP AND NEED A SURVEY TO VERIFY YOUR POINTS OR NOTHING, JUST TO BUILD A FENCE.
USUALLY IF YOU HIRE, I THINK WE'RE GOOD.
IF YOU HIRE SOMEBODY TO BUILD A FENCE, THEY USUALLY VERIFY THE POINTS, BUT THEY'RE GONNA FIND, BUT HE WAS ASKING IF HE BUILT IT HIMSELF.
THERE'S, THERE'S HAVE A DRAWING.
YOU SHOULD HAVE A, YOU SHOULD HAVE A PLOT OF YOUR PROPERTY AND IT SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING ON THERE THAT TELLS YOU WHERE THE BOUNDARY ROD IS SUPPOSED TO BE
WELL, I UNDERSTAND THAT, BUT WE JUST SAID ALL IT WAS GONNA FIRE IS THE PERMIT.
ALL IS HAVE BLOCK PLANS UPDATED.
ALL THE OLDER PART OF TOWN DOES NOT.
BUT WE, WE DON'T REQUIRE AN ENGINEER DRAWING ONCE OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.
OKAY, I, I HAVE A MOTION AND A SECOND TO TABLE ITEM H PENDING.
ITEM H HAS BEEN TABLED PENDING FURTHER DEFINITION.
NEXT ITEM WOULD BE NOTICED AND ANNOUNCEMENTS OF UPCOMING EVENTS AND MEETINGS.
