[00:00:07] I WOULD NOTE THAT THE [III. ACTION ITEMS ] POTENTIAL COMPETITION, UM, MAY STILL BE, MAY STILL MOVE FORWARD AS LONG AS THEY UNDERSTAND THAT THERE'S A SPECIFIC AMOUNT THAT ALL, AND THAT'S ALL WE'RE GONNA REIMBURSE. I'LL MAKE THE MOTION TO APPROVE THE, THE GRANT MOTION ON MAYORS. WE HAVE A SECOND, SECOND, SECOND BY MR. VERN. ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION? ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. AYE. AYE. MOTION CARRIES. THANK YOU. ALRIGHT, ITEM C, CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE FUNDS RELATED TO SMALL BUSINESS CIVILIZATION FOR INFRASTRUCTURE AT 1 0 1 BRA COURT, PORT BOULEVARD. SO CAN I, HAVE I GOT THIS? VERY GOOD. THANK YOU. UH, 1 0 1 BRAZOSPORT IS QUITE FRANKLY A MESS. UM, HAS BEEN A MESS FOR A LONG TIME AND WE'VE, UH, AT SOME POINT IN THE PAST, THE CITY ALLOWED IT TO BE SUBDIVIDED AMONG 11 AT ONE POINT 11 DIFFERENT OWNERSHIP GROUPS. UH, IS IT ON THE SCREENS IN FRONT OF YOU GUYS? NO, IT'S NOT. WE, OH, WE'LL TURN IT ON. SO WE'VE NARROWED THAT DOWN TO, UH OH, I'M SORRY. YOU CAN'T HEAR ME EITHER. ALRIGHT. WELL, AFTER A GREAT TECHNOLOGICAL START THIS EVENING, HOW'S THAT? YES, SIR. IS IT ON A LITTLE BITTY BAG OF, BUT THERE WE GO. HOW'S THAT? I KNOW YOU GUYS WERE DYING TO HEAR MY SILKY SMOOTH, UH, TENOR, TENOR VOICE. UH, ANYWAY, WE HAVE MULTIPLE OWNERS WITHIN THIS DEVELOPMENT. UH, SO IT'S BEEN A HODGEPODGE OF WHAT'S HAPPENING. UH, THIS END OF THE BUILDING HERE. THE, UH, THE PORTION THAT USED TO BE THE SAFEWAY, UH, BELONGED TO A COMPANY IN SUGAR LAND. THEY SOLD, UH, TO A LOCAL REAL ESTATE AGENT WHO IN TURN SOLD IT TO SUBDIVIDED IT AND SOLD IT TO TWO DIFFERENT PARTIES. UH, ONE IS THE BLACKLOCK STORAGE GROUP OUT OF FORT WORTH. THE OTHER IS ROAD STAR, UH, AND I WANNA SAY IT'S ROAD STAR LLC OUT OF, UH, SUGAR LAND. AND IN ORDER TO GET THE C-STORE IN, IN FAST FOOD RESTAURANT IN THE WATER AND SEWER LINES RUN LATERALLY LITERALLY THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THAT LOT. AND SO THERE WAS A LOT OF NEGOTIATION, HORSE TRADING, HORSE SWAPPING, SOME ARM WRESTLING, UH, GOING ON AT THE TABLE BETWEEN ALL THE VARIOUS OWNERS BECAUSE THAT WATER AND SEWER LINE AFFECTS MORE THAN JUST THE ROAD STAR AND THE SAFEWAY. AS TO HOW THAT WAS GONNA GET RESOLVED, WE COULDN'T GET AGREEMENT A HUNDRED PERCENT, BUT WHAT WE CAME TO WAS A CONSENSUS OR A COMPROMISE THAT WOULD SEE, UH, THE ROAD STAR GO AHEAD AND PAY FOR THE, THE WATER METER AND THE VAULT, THE STORAGE PLACE, PAY FOR THE LINES. AND THEN THE CITY AGREED TO GO AHEAD AND COVER THE TAP FEES. AND SO THE TAP FEES TOTAL LESS THAN $5,000. WE'RE JUST SEEKING INFRASTRUCTURE APPROVAL TO OFFSET THE CITY'S COST FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THOSE SO THAT WE CAN GET THE ROAD STAR OPEN. UH, THE GOAL IS TO HAVE THEM OPEN AND OPERATIONAL BY JANUARY AGGRESSIVE. THEY'RE, THEY'RE ON IT. THE, THEY'RE, YEAH. THE LIGHTS WERE ON IN THERE LAST NIGHT. YEAH. YEAH. WE GOT THE, BUT WE, WE FINAL ELECTRICALS COMING UP AND FINAL PLUMBING WILL BE IN A COUPLE WEEKS. UH, THEY CAN'T FILL THEIR TANKS YET BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T PASSED THAT PORTION OF THE INSPECTION PROCESS WITH TCEQ, BUT, UH, AND THEN THEY'RE WAITING ON THEIR LIQUOR PERMIT, BUT THEY'RE READY TO ROCK AND ROLL. SO WE STILL DON'T HAVE A FLAG FOR THE FAST FOOD JOINT YET. SO WE DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT'S GONNA BE JUST AT THIS MOMENT. SO, MAY REASONABLE ASK ANY DISCUSSION ON THIS ITEM. DO I HAVE A MOTION? SO MOVED. MOTION BY MAYOR SCHIFF. I SECOND. I'LL SECOND. FRANCIS VAUGHN SECONDED. ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION? ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. A AYE. MOTION PASSES. THANK YOU. WHAT'S HAPPENED ON THE DISMISS BAR CATTYCORNER FROM THERE? SO, UH, LET ME ADJOURN AND I'LL ADDRESS YOU INDIVIDUALLY AS INDIVIDUALS AND TELL YOU, THERE YOU GO. THAT'S A GOOD IDEA. ALRIGHT, SO I BELIEVE THAT IS IT FOR ME TO CORRECT? YES, SIR. ALRIGHT, THEN WE WILL, WE HAVE A MOTION FOR ADJOURN? YES. YES. THAT'S THOUGHT. SO MOVED. MOTION BY FRANCIS VAUGHN. DO I HAVE THE SECOND? SECOND? SECONDED BY LINDSAY RICHARDSON. ALL IN FAVOR? I I WANT TO DISCUSS IT. KEEP DISCUSSING. WE'RE ADJOURNED AT 6 42. THANK YOU EVERYONE. * This transcript was created by voice-to-text technology.
