WHEN THEY'RE ON SOMETHING BESIDES ALCOHOL, THEY'RE ABLE TO LOOK AT THOSE THINGS. AND WHAT THAT TELLS US IS, WHAT, WHAT'S YOUR OPERATING CAPABILITY WITH THE RESERVES THAT ARE IN PLACE? WELL, THIS PAST YEAR WITH, WITH THE HURRICANE AND THE SUBSEQUENT CLEANUP, THAT IT'S A GOOD INDICATION OF HAVING A HEALTHY RESERVE ALLOWS THE CITY TO CONTINUE TO OPERATE AS NEEDED. SO THIS FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHT IS A LITTLE BIT SKEWED THIS YEAR BECAUSE THERE WERE ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURES THROUGH THE CLEANUP EFFORT. UH, [00:20:01] CURRENTLY THE CITY IS RIGHT AROUND THREE MONTHS OF THAT UNASSIGNED FUND BALANCE COMPARED TO THE TOTAL EXPENDITURES THIS YEAR. NOW, FEMA, UH, IS OFFERING ASSISTANCE AND THROUGH, UH, VARIOUS CONVERSATIONS WITH CJ, UH, THEY OFFER ASSISTANCE. BUT WHEN, WHEN THE CHECK COMES, YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE. SO, UM, CONTINUING TO, UH, PLACE A MATTER OF EMPHASIS ON BUILDING THAT RESERVE BACK UP WHILE YOU WAIT FOR FEMA TO, TO ANSWER THE CALL. UM, YOU KNOW, I THINK IT'S PRETTY CRITICAL FOR THE CITY, UH, TO DO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE FROM THAT STANDPOINT.
