UH, SO CITIES, COMMUNITIES CAN BE MORE RESILIENT. AND SO A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WITH A RESILIENT THEME, UH, IS ONE OF THE PROGRAMS THAT WAS PUT UP THERE. AND Y'ALL HAVE NOW TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THAT. UH, AND THEN WE ASSESSED PLANS THAT Y'ALL HAD PREVIOUSLY. SO WHETHER THOSE WERE LIKE A PARKS MASTER PLAN OR AN OLDER COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, ALL THAT WAS USED, UH, IN ADDITION TO THE PUBLIC MEETING, UH, THE GLO REQUIREMENTS AND THE, UH, SURVEY, PUBLIC SURVEY THAT WAS DONE AT THE SAME TIME AS WE HAD THAT PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT, UH, TO DRAFT THESE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. UH, PURPOSE OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN THERE AGAIN, IS TO SET THE COURSE FOR LIKE A 20 YEAR PLAN. SOME PEOPLE, IT'S FLEXIBLE, BUT IT'S USUALLY RANGES 15 TO 20 YEARS. YOU SET GOALS, YOU HAVE SHORT TERM GOALS WITH YOUR LONG TERM GOALS. UH, ALSO DEFINE POLICIES WHERE YOU NEED THEM. MAKE FUNDING PRIORITIES, UPDATE YOUR LAND USE AND YOUR ZONING, UH, AND GUIDE YOUR DECISION MAKING PROCESS GOING FORWARD INTO THE FUTURE. AGAIN, HERE'S KIND OF LIKE A LITTLE TIMELINES. THIS GIVES ACTUAL DATES WHEN WE DID THE THING. SO THE FIRST PUBLIC MEETING APPROACHING A YEAR, WHICH IS CRAZY. UH, I THINK THAT WE DID THAT BACK IN FEBRUARY. UM, SO GOALS AND OBJECTIVES, HERE WE ARE TODAY ON THAT SECOND PUBLIC MEETING IN DECEMBER. AND THEN KIND OF LOOKING FORWARD WHAT WE HAVE LEFT TO DO. SO, UH, AFTER THE DRAFT OF THE, UH, THIS GOALS AND OBJECTIVES, WE'LL TAKE THAT AND START CONDENSING DOWN TO A DRAFT CONTRACT. THEN WE HAVE AN UPDATE FOR YOUR LAND USE PLAN, UH, MAPS, AS WELL AS ZONING ORDINANCE. WE'LL DRAFT ALL THOSE TO GET TO A POINT WHERE WE HAVE A THIRD PUBLIC MEETING. AND YOU CAN SEE THAT SCHEDULED FOR THE SUMMER FALL 26. AND ALL DEPENDS, UH, JUST THE VARIOUS THINGS THAT ARE GOING ON. AND THEN WE HAVE A GOAL OF TRYING TO CLOSE EVERYTHING OUT. UH, AGAIN, YOUR, YOUR ADOPTION OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN IS REQUIRED BY GLO. SO, SO COME IN WINTER OF 26 OR EARLY 27. AGAIN HERE, JUST LIKE A BULLET POINT LIST OF THINGS WE'VE ACCOMPLISHED TODAY. UH, UPCOMING ACTIVITIES, WE'RE GONNA SYNTHESIZE THE FEEDBACK AND THEN GET INTO THE DRAFT OF CONFERENCE PLAN ZONING, SO FORTH. UH, ONE OF THE NEAT THINGS ABOUT THE STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT THAT, UH, WAS IMPRESSED THAT WE DID, UH, WITH Y'ALL IS THAT, UH, WE ENGAGED ALL GENERATIONS. SO ACTUALLY WE WENT OUT INTO THE HIGH SCHOOL AND, UH, WE HAD A FORMER TEACHER ON STAFF. I THINK WILL'S GOT SOME BACKGROUND IN TEACHING AND THEY ACTUALLY, UH, DID EXERCISE WITH THE STUDENTS AND THEY CREATED A MEME AND IT WAS, UH, IT WAS JUST REALLY INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY. SO AGAIN, THAT'S SOMETHING ELSE THAT'S PUT INTO DRAFTING THESE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. SO WE HAD, UH, GENERATIONAL INPUT, JUST A LITTLE BIT OF A FRAMEWORK OF A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. AND SO YOU CAN SEE HOW THIS ALL FITS IN. SO WE'VE GOT, YOU KNOW, A VISION AND AN IDEAL FUTURE FOR CLUE GOALS, WHICH ARE GONNA VERY HIGH LEVEL. THEN WE HAVE OBJECTIVES, AND THEN WE ACTUALLY HAVE THE ACTIONS. UH, THERE AGAIN, COMPONENTS, COMPLIMENTARY TOOLS THAT YOU'LL HAVE, TRANSPORTATION PLANNING, COMMUNITY FACILITIES PLAN, CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN, UH, POLICIES. UH, AND THEN ONE OF THE MOST CRITICAL THINGS I THINK THAT SOMETIMES OFTEN LACKS IN A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, WHICH YOU WILL HAVE AND IT'S REQUIRED BY GOL, WHICH IS A GOOD THING. IT'S AN IMPLEMENTATION PLAN. SO LIKE A CHAMPION FOR THAT PARTICULAR GOAL OBJECTIVE, WHO'S GONNA MAKE THAT HAPPEN? LIKE AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT'S NOT ALL IN THE CITY. IT'S A CITY DRIVING IT, BUT IT'S GONNA BE, YOU KNOW, MAYBE YOUR NON-PROFIT SECTOR THAT TAKES ON A PARTICULAR GOAL OR OBJECTIVE TO GET THINGS DONE. UM, WE HAVE A FUTURE LAND USE MAP. AND AGAIN, ZONING ORDINANCE CHANGES, BUT WE'LL SAY ALSO TO PAGE STRATEGY. WE ALSO TRY TO OUTLINE FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES BECAUSE THERE ARE SOME PRETTY, UH, CATALYTIC THINGS THAT WE MENTIONED IN THIS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. WHO IS THE COMMUNITY THAT IS INVESTED IN RETAINING TALENT AND YOUNG PEOPLE GROWING TO BECOME A TOURIST DESTINATION ANCHORED BY GREAT PUBLIC SPACES, CULTURAL EVENTS, WHICH ARE MUST SALES AT FEST THIS YEAR. WHEREAS CITY COUNCIL BELIEVES THAT AUGMENTING THE PREEXISTING MUTUAL AID AGREEMENTS AS CALLED FOR UNDER HOUSE BILL 33 THROUGH THE ATTACHED GENERAL LOCAL AGREEMENT, WILL BE A BENEFIT IN THE EVENT THAT OUR COMMUNITY FACES SUCH A CRISIS NOW THEREFORE BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLU, TEXAS, THAT THE INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR ENHANCED CORPORATION AND MUTUAL AID BETWEEN THE CITY OF CLUT, BRAZORIA COUNTY AND THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR CRISIS RESPONSE IS HEREBY APPROVED. AND THE MAYOR IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED TO SIGN THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT TO ENSURE THE CITY'S CONTINUING PARTICIPATION IN THIS AGREEMENT.
